FREE* introductory Bookkeeping Courses

This course is an introduction to level 1 bookkeeping which will also cover some aspects of Computerised Accounts Sage Line 50. The course is great for beginners or as a refresher and will give candidates the opportunity to move on to the AAT.

This qualification evaluates the learners' ability to produce accounts for businesses and will typically cover the following areas;

Ø  the completion of financial documents such as invoices and credit notes

Ø  the recording of cash and credit transactions in books of original entry

Ø  preparing bank reconciliation

Ø  understanding the petty cash imprest systems and trial balances.

Ø  preparing ledger accounts and control accounts

Ø  correcting errors in business accounts such as identifying errors in ledger accounts

Ø  understanding capital and revenue expenditure

Ø  depreciation

Ø  end of year adjustments

Ø  trial balance
