Higher National Certificate - (HNC) in Business 

Course Description

The Higher National Certificate in Business Studies offers students who aren’t sure if they wish to specialise in business programme a taster into what to expect. At this level of the Btec framework the students will be introduced to a wide variety of topics in order to gain a general understanding of the Business area.

How do I know if I am eligible for the course?

 
This course should be aimed at students who have completed their school education. Students must want to improve their knowledge of business principles and topics to that of a graduate level. Students must be 18 or over or have completed the equivalent of 1 A level or 5 GCSE’s, other qualifications and experience will be considered at the discretion of the college.

What Will I Learn?

Students will be expected to grasp and hone their education with their own research in a variety of topics that become a lot more specific in the second year of study. Assessments will include individual and group assignments and projects and are created with real life examples and topics in mind.

Progression Opportunities

After completion of the Higher National Certificate students are eligible for entry onto the second year of the FM Business School Higher National Diploma where they will improve on the knowledge they have gained during this course, and be able to specialise into either Business Management or Business Finance
