Duration
In the classroom the course will take 2 weeks to complete. This is based on 5 days attendance per week. Classes start at 10am each day and finish at 4pm with 30 minutes for lunch. Studying this qualification online will take approximately 6 weeks.
About the course
If you are interested in working in the care sector or want to get a better understanding of what it takes to work in the care sector then this is the course for you.
As part of this course you will be given an opportunity to achieve several accredited qualifications and create a Care Certificate Portfolio, which upon completion of the Care Pathway can be used to support the achievement of the Care Certificate, which looks to validate performance against 15 standards.
During this course you will study:

Highfield Level 1 Employability Skills, including Help with Applying for Jobs;

Functional Skills English;

Functional Skills Maths; and,

City and Guilds Level 1 Certificate in Introduction to Health, Social Care and Children's and Young People's Settings
What will I be able to do after completing the course?
After you have successfully completed this course you can progress to employment/ higher level qualification in Care, including an Apprenticeship.
