Duration
In the classroom the course will take 2 weeks to complete. This is based on 5 days attendance per week. Classes start at 10am each day and finish at 4pm with 30 minutes for lunch. Studying this qualification online will take approximately 6 weeks.

If you are interested in working in the hospitality sector or want to get a better understanding of what it takes to work in the hospitality sector then this is the course for you.
During this course you will study:

Highfield Level 1 Employability Skills, including Help with Applying for Jobs;

Functional Skills English
-
Functional Skills Maths
-
Highfield Level 2 Certificate in Hospitality and Catering Principles;

Highfield Level 2 Award in Food Safety for Retail; and,

Highfield Level 2 Award in the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health.
What will I be able to do after completing the course?
After you have successfully completed this course you can progress to employment/ higher level qualification in Hospitality, including an Apprenticeship.

Entry requirements?
You must be qualified at Entry Level 3 or above in English and maths.
